The 26-mile McHenry County Prairie Trail bike path traverses the county and passes through several small towns and the spectacular Glacial Park. Metra's Bicycles on Trains program allows easy access to the Prairie Trail and makes a great low-cost cycling weekend with several lodging options located close to the trail.
